A Memorable Trip to Philippines

It is a really good opportunity that I could join this Philippines Charity trip. There are so many touching moments that I cannot even delivery by words. When I was there, I looked at the little faces and thought how little money it took to change their lives! In the high school, I asked the students what they wanted to be in the future, I was surprised to get so many different answers! Their dreams are colourful. Sadly, the reality is that majority of them will have to spend their whole lives in the village and in the fields. However, some of them, with proper support, will try their best to study and make their dream come true. We may talk about one out of a hundred, but that is still a hope. During the trip, I also realized we find a reliable partner, the local Light and Love Home (LLH), which has built the relationship with local families. They have a priority list of the charity and a long term plan. There is a Chinese saying: “It takes ten years to grow trees, but a hundred years to build a person.” Charity on education is not an easy thing. Our support is limited, but I’m sure our support on LLH education is meaningful.
