Meszose is a 17-year-old girl, whose mother died when she was born and whose father died when she was 7. She had been staying with her uncle’s family, and they had been providing for her while she worked for them daily in the cornfield. In Zambia, orphans like her have no hope to be able to go to school. However, a teacher at CBS, which is a school that Light and Love Home is supporting, knew about her situation and brought her to the school. At the age of 17, she may not know the full English alphabet and may still be studying only in Grade 5; yet, to her, she has been given great hope for the future.
